Being busy running around the collecting and distributing center of the processing industry in the Yangtze River Delta area and because of working on the accessories processing, we have a indepth contact with the practitioners in the aluminum processing industry. We try to apply the recycled aluminum to the housing field, first out of a kind of intuition which comes from the long term concern and emotional memory about this land beneath my feet and the people living on the land.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, Dali has become quietly an important hub of international aluminum scrap flow. It is a small town located near to the trade port at the southern end of China and appears to be the outpost of the aluminum ore fever, which is not much different from the largest aluminum mine field in Guinea in the world. Here, it is a mine of recycled aluminum full of vitality and develops spontaneously its own automatically segmented industrial structure with help of its geographic advantage.
More importantly, it even has an influence on the local population composition through attracting massive migrant workers to come to Dali for panning.
However, with the shift of economic advantages, driving the local link industry's interest space is getting thinner and thinner, not only the local processing and processing of aluminum resources continue to flow to the north, many large aluminum plants moved to foreign countries, but also brought about the unemployment of the first generation of local workers.
" The comprehensiveness of the material recycling system is the most important thing we need to think about. Aluminum is one of the easiest metals to recycle, and because of its economic value and other factors, it has a more complete and mature recycling system compared to other materials.
Aluminum is infinitely renewable and to date, 75% of the nearly 1.7 billion tons of metallic aluminum produced by humans is still in the application stage. Than re-mining aluminum ore, every five tons of bauxite ore out of a ton of electrolytic aluminum, and comes with a variety of waste pollution, damage to vegetation, energy consumption and other circumstances, resulting in high environmental management costs.
While the advantages of recycled aluminum are quite obvious, the greenhouse gas emissions consumed by recycling and reusing aluminum scrap can be reduced by 95% and energy consumption can be saved by 95%, which greatly reduces the cost while alleviating the burden on the environment, and the economic value of aluminum leads to a perfect recycling system and a stable supply network, making it an excellent sustainable material. "

Concrete and recycled aluminum
Combining the recycled aluminum with the concrete housing system and reconsidering the product life-cycle with industry thinking are positive responses to the local industrial ecology.Besides, can the economic value and matured recycle system of secondary aluminum offer another reasonable and feasible example to the housing product in terms of recycle of the product life or even to the operating mode of the entire industrial value chain?
